When the cold winds of winter settle in and the snow piles up outside, there’s nothing more enticing than the promise of sunshine, sandy beaches, and a much-needed dose of warmth. For our family, Agadir became the dream destination to escape the chilly season.

Ramadan
Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims, marked by fasting from sunrise to sunset, prayer, and spiritual reflection. For travelers in Muslim-majority countries, it’s important to note that restaurants and cafes may have limited daytime hours, while evenings come alive with iftar (breaking of the fast) and social gatherings. Night markets and communal meals offer a vibrant and unique cultural experience.
To respect local customs, avoid eating, drinking, or smoking in public during daylight hours, and dress modestly. Be aware of adjusted business hours and traffic surges before iftar. Ramadan provides an opportunity to witness deep cultural and spiritual traditions, often accompanied by warm hospitality toward visitors.
